The Center for Interprofessional Education collaborates with several centers and groups in an effort to support and promote interprofessional education and teamwork.  

AHC Learning Commons - The AHC Learning Commons offers health professions faculty a place to learn about and develop new ways of teaching—especially those supported by information and educational technologies.

For students and residents, the Learning Commons is a place to practice new ways of learning—such as clinical decision-making, problem-based learning, and evidence-based practice—and to use information acquisition skills and techniques.

pharm techIERC - The Interprofessional Education and Resource Center (IERC) provides unique facilities and services to develop and assess students' clinical skills. The Center offers faculty the opportunity to prepare students for a professional world under simulated situations before going into practice settings.

Minnesota AHEC - Minnesota AHEC supports interprofessional education sites statewide, giving community-based health professionals and health professions students opportunities to implement interprofessional educational practices.

Biomedical Library - The mission of the Bio-Medical Library is to enhance the teaching, research, and service activities of the University of Minnesota and to support the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center in its quest to improve health, by facilitating timely access to information needed by library clients on campus, throughout Minnesota, and nationwide.

CAHP - The Center for Allied Health Programs is best described as an emerging statewide resource with campuses in the Twin Cities and Rochester for health professions education that currently includes programs in Clinical Laboratory Science and Occupational Therapy. The Center was created to foster innovation and collaboration in the development of new educational programs to address Minnesota's projected statewide shortages in the health professions.

cow and vetCenter for Bioethics - The University of Minnesota's Center for Bioethics is a nationally prominent, yet locally focused, resource that conducts important research and provides educational programs and services to help students, professionals, policy makers, and the public confront the complex ethical issues emerging in health care and the life sciences.

The Center for Spirituality and Healing - The vision of the Center is to be a world-renowned resource that enhances health and well-being by educating health professionals, empowering consumers, and fundamentally transforming the delivery of health care through the creation of interdisciplinary academic, research, clinical care, and outreach programs that advance integrative health and healing.

Office of Emergency Response - The AHC Office of Emergency Response was established in 2004 to ensure that public health issues affecting the University community are addressed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner and also serves to coordinate and organize available resources within the Academic Health Center in preparation to assist community partners during a local, state, or national health emergency, and in so doing, provides unique educational and experiential opportunities for AHC students, staff, and faculty.
