AHC Leadership Statement Student Outcomes

CIPE Learning Outcomes – Students will be able to:

Will know about the roles of other health professionals (CIPE)

Describe, compare and contrast one’s own and other health professionals’ roles and scope of practice

Differentiate between the roles, responsibilities and competencies of other health professionals, acknowledge one’s own and others’ strengths and apply this knowledge effectively in a team setting.

Will be able to work with other health professionals in a team (CIPE)

Collaborate effectively with other health professionals by:

  • Communicating clearly and concisely in written and oral forms
  • Using effective conflict management and resolution skills
  • Promoting and facilitating teamwork

Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team setting by:

  • Participating in the care planning process for a patient or population to achieve the best outcomes
  • Sharing leadership responsibility based on needs and professional strengths.

Will know how to apply disciplinary strengths for best value in health care (CIPE)

Demonstrate the ability to work with other health professionals to share best practices, to plan joint initiatives and to solve challenges.

Utilize team-based strategies to improve the quality and excellence of the health care provided.
